My Mayor, her son grocer deliver, and grocer owner, Kim have all lost their titles. Although new replacements have showed up in my game. But this is my own fault. I noticed that the mayor, her son and grocer Kim was not in the world. Didnt have a home. Unlike Sara the pub owner and her husband. Sara gets to keep her role and live in house. I felt that the mayor should have a home to. Once I placed them into home, they lost their titles, no jobs. But there are replacements, but I wanted them to keep thier roles, jobs. Down side is, I was in the middle of errand with the mayor and her son. I'm hoping I can finish this errand.
I wanted them to keep their roles.... ☹️
- simvasion4 years agoHero@LilSnakeHips yeah, I learned really early on that you shouldn't move some sims into houses, as they can't have certain jobs if they live in a house. An example is mail carriers. If you move one of them into a house, then they lose their NPC job.

I figured that Sara had her title as Pub owner and living in household with her husband, in their little cottage. Then The Mayor could as well. I know that in earlier sims, bring in npc into households would cause them to lose their jobs. I just thought that it might have changed because of Sara's placement.
- thecharsims4 years agoNew Ace@simvasion I just recently realized this once I went back into game to give the new sims of those roles, makeovers. I never once thought about it before that the sims were placed into homes and that's exactly what happened. I at least moved the sims into the world since I have no way of giving them their roles back.

@thecharsims Yes, moving in counts as 'editing'. Always has been that way.
Bit unsure what you want to create a new thread for ?
