Custom Content errors (and more glitches)

My sim's eyelashes have been blocking, looking like they were wearing a ring. At first, I thought my sims had the new nails on, but then I realized it was happening before then. Also, designs on custom clothes don't show crisply and usually look like a bundle of colors, and this also happened with clothes from Cottage Living and most likely all packs and base game. And once my sims get to a high enough cooking skill, many recipes appear as blue squares.

In the picture of my sims, her eyelashes have that "ring messing with eyelashes" look, and her shirt is meant to have a red and white vertical striped design with circular mints, and that's not what's seen.

I've tried getting the newest mods (UI, MCCC) and repairing the game, but it did nothing.

I can't send a picture of the food menu cause my computer doesn't allow me to take a screenshot while in the game, and pressing C doesn't work in that window.

  • @trschaiper I think it would be good to troubleshoot to see if your CC [&/or Mod(s)?] may be causing the issue. CC &/or Mods that are in the game, and sometimes that have been removed but have left cache in the game, can affect your game in ways that may or may not make sense. Even installing the latest version of a Mod/CC does not guarantee that there is not a conflict that is affecting the game due to a more recent game update or due to a Mod/CC update that did not fully address issues. Please do the following exactly as stated, even if you did any of it before:

Please move your Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. If the issue is gone, please re-add the Mods/CC one at a time until you find the one causing the issue. If you have a lot of Mods/CC you can try the 50/50 Method. You can test without saving in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue, then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.
