custom content not working

Hey,

I recently bought a new MacBook, downloaded sims 4 and tried to install cc and mods (mc command centre), but neither worked. I've restarted my mac, repaired the sims 4 through the origin app, removed the mods folder then added it back in, enabled and reenabled custom content/mods through start-up settings and redownloaded cc/mods. However, none of this has worked for me and I was wondering if anyone has had similar issues and or knows how I could potentially resolve the issue.

Thank you 🙂

  • @Rebecca3409  Please find the user folder Sims 4 is reading:

Make sure you're adding the mods and custom content to the Mods folder within the correct user folder.  One common issue is adding mods to iCloud Drive rather than the local folder.  You can see the full file path of any folder by right-clicking and selecting Get Info, then looking under Where.

To access the local folder, open a Finder window, click Macintosh HD (or whatever you've renamed your hard disk) in the left panel, then open Users > your username > Documents etc.  If you don't see Macintosh HD, click Finder in the upper-right corner of the screen, then Preferences > Sidebar, and check the box next to hard disks.
