Debate Outfit Bug

One of my Sims was at the UBrite Commons and when I decided to have him participate in the Debate Showdown he switched into the debate outfit but didn't change back after the event ended. 

I tried looking up if there was any issue with it and apparently there was back in 2019, but I guess it was fixed. But for me it's not happening in all my Sim's outfit categories, it's happening in one. 

I tried entering CAS but it showed as his normal outfit but when I would exit or hit Play, when it loaded back into Live Mode he was still in it (the debate outfit). And this was after I had him travel back to the dorms. 

I also tried switching him to his cold weather outfit (which stayed the same also when I switched to it) and entering CAS then exiting  and his everyday outfit was fine but the debate outfit just went right over his cold weather outfit. 

I also just tried resetting him with the resetsim cheat but that didn't work either. 

And yes I tried to save and exit to the main menu but on the save picture it shows him in the debate outfit and when I went back into the game he was still in it too. Showering before that didn't help either, he just changed back to the debate outfit! 

Is there a way to fix this or am I just stuck with the debate outfit until it's fixed? 

UPDATE: I just found a fix to this. All I did was create a second outfit slot, chose the outfit I chose for his everyday outfit and went back into Live Mode and he appeared in his chosen everyday outfit! 😊 Debate outfit is still showing in the first slot but I don't know if deleting the first slot will just show the debate outfit over the one I chose for the second slot (that is if you can delete the first slot) so for now I'm just gonna leave it.
