Disabled Autonomy Wont Work for Just Selected Sim
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.88.228.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Expansions, Game Packs, Stuff Packs and Kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Create a household with two sims 2. Select Autonomy Full 3. Select box "disabled autonomy for selected sim" for one sim and save changes. 4. Then click on the next sim, go into gameplay options and it should show that the box is also selected for the sim that does not need autonomy disabled.
What happens when the bug occurs? Autonomy is disabled for all sims in the household and not just for one.
What do you expect to see? I can control one sim with selected disabled autonomy whilst the other sims can be autonomous.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I should be able to control my sim by helping with its needs when I have selected disabled autonomy. This means that the rest of the household is able to function with full autonomy. To the best of my knowledge, if you select the disabled autonomy for one sim then it applies to that sim ONLY and not to the entire household. I have only noticed that its been happening in the past few months and did not see it after a specific update and I have removed all mods and re installed my game but doesnt seem to fix the issue. I loved only have disabled autonomy for one sims as it makes massive challenges like 100 baby challenge easier!
- @sarahhk5_ The settings are applied globally to your household so if you set that, it's selected for every household and every Sim you play, even when you switch Sims.
If you switch Sims, that one is becoming the selected Sim and that Sim will no longer have autonomy. You can't disable it for a specific Sim only unless you use a mod.
So with your settings, this is what's supposed to happen. You have 3 Sims in your household + 1 pet (S1, S2, S3, P1)
So if you have S1 selected, S2, S3 and P1 have autonomy and should do things while S1 does not. When you switch over to S2, S1, S3 and P1 has autonomy and S2 has not.
What shouldn't happen is that every household member looses autonomy while you have one selected. So if you select S1 and S2 and S3 and P1 also don't do anything on their own, then that would be a bug but judging from what you are saying, that's not the case ?
