Discover University Sim won't go to class

I'm shocked that nothing came up in my search. Complaints are all over the internet about these bugs, and yet 4 years later, they are not fixed. My Sim does not attend university classes so that she gets there on time MOST of the time. There is no option to send her to class in the radial menu. The old work around of SHIFT and click on Sim no longer offers the edit tweak to reset the sim. None of the buildings on campus give me the option to send her to class. Her phone doesn't have that option. The work tab in the lower right does not have that option.

Also, 5 workdays is insanely short. I remember now why I simply re-installed Sims 3 to enjoy the university mod. :-(  

Do you perhaps have a workaround for this that actually works? When the sim finally leaves for class, class has already begun, which then counts against their academic success. Having been on the Dean's List and an honor student every semester, this is intolerable. It's horrifying. It's frustrating, because I cannot influence it. All of the tips in the internet are disabled in the game. All of the options that should exist simply do not exist.

Please help.
