Dishwasher Goes Unused
The dishwasher goes unused. I click on the dishwasher and click the "load" option, and every time, the sims collect dishes and wash them at the kitchen sink.

Check the position of the dishwasher. I have learned that there must be some free space around the item besides the object footprint for sims to interact with it. For example placing it in a corner of the room might be problematic.
Was it placed using the Move Object On cheat (MOO)? If so try to place it with MOO switched off. Same if you downloaded the lot from the gallery.
Also objects on top of the dishwasher can make it unreachable for sims, so you might remove them and see what happens.
If it's a CC dishwasher, check whether there are information about it on the creator's webpage or replace it with an ingame applicance and test whether this works.@Brileanne Just to confirm, because this is the Mod/CC Issues area, do you have mods/CC? If so, please test without. Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.
