DL'd Game Pack, world won't load, map empty

Today, I downloaded a Game Pack (Outdoor Retreat) and when i attempted to visit the world by going on a vacation, the Granite Falls map is empty of lots (screenshot attached). I think it may be due to: I had a mod called "All Worlds are Residential" in my mods folder, never used it, forgot it was there. I am assuming the presence of that mod being there before i downloaded Outdoor Retreat broke the world? My other existing vacation worlds work fine.

The next steps i took: disabled mods, exited game, removed mod from mods folder. Did not help. so i chose "Repair Game" from the Origin app. That did not help either. Help please!

@poisndolly     Hi!  I wonder if that save may be corrupted now.  Have you tried creating a new save without any mods?  Maybe delete the localthumbcache file again, run another repair and launch the game with a new save to see if the issue persists?

EDIT:  A friend mentioned you might be able to disable the pack, relaunch the game without mods and save the game again to resolve the issue.  Note that this will remove all OR-related BuildBuy and CAS content that you have used.  Once you have done that, you should be able to load the game without mods and reenable OR.

If you want to try this, here are the steps to disable OR.

In the EA app, click on your game in the Library, then click Manage and View Properties.  Then copy and paste this:  -disablepacks:GP01 into the Advanced Launch Options box.  Then launch the game, load the save and save progress.

In Origin, right-click the game in your Library and click Game Properties.  Click Advanced Launch Options and enter the -disablepacks:GP01 in the Command Line Arguments.

To reenable OR after saving, follow the steps again and delete the disable code from the Advanced Launch Options.

EDIT 2:  Actually AHQ hero @crinrict created a step by step guide here.

  • Hi @poisndolly It's possible that after All Worlds Are Residential is used in a save, the lots don't return to that save. In case you didn't before, do delete the file called localthumbcache. You should be able to find the original builds on the Gallery.

Thanks for your reply. I did delete the localthumbcache and that did not help either. The Granite Falls Map is not clickable. It's not that the lots are just empty, there are no squares for the lots to even click on. I added a screenshot of my mods folder here too in case that helps, which i have since removed while i troubleshoot this. I am stumped!
