Downloads folder won’t open

Hopefully I am posting this in the right place. Yesterday I downloaded cc from patreon from a well known cc creator that I have downloaded from many times. However, once downloaded I can’t open my downloads folder. It spins and then I get a message it’s not responding. I restarted my computer, ran a full scan, (nothing was detected) and still can’t open it. Can I just delete this folder and make a new one? I’m on Windows 10 if that helps. Let me know if any other info is needed. Thanks for the help!!
