Earbuds are driving me crazy

Do any of the major Sims 4 mods (like MCCC, Basemental etc) somehow conflict with earbuds? For about a year now the only option I get when I click on earbuds is place in world/inventory. I tried to remove my whole mods folder and then the earbuds worked fine, but I do not have time or patience to test which mod exactly conflicts with them. I also tried to remove mods that in my opinion would *make sense* to conflict in this case but none of that worked. Could my custom floors or IKEA furniture I downloaded from MTS be the culprit here? I might as well test those 20 or 30 files I have in my mods folder because it's driving me nuts lol but maybe ya'll have some ideas or had the same issue. Thanks!
