Please follow the instructions. That you have checked for updates does not mean that your mods can not be broken and just not updated yet.
@jpkarlsen I removed all mods from my folder and it’s still doing it but it’s only doing it on one sim the other sims are fine
That suggests that the sim in question had something broken since the others are fine, You can have that sim quit the career and then rejoin. You will loose some advancement in the career but it should not be much.
