Hey probs28 , those look like bugs more than gameplay issues, could you report them in the Bug Reports section The Sims 4 Bug Reports | EA Forums ? Please make one post per issue (one for the event panel, one for the Sims unable to go to prom), it's easier for us to track bugs that are reported individually.
