Events not starting

So every time I create an event, like a House Party or a Baby Shower, the event won't start. It might start about 3 hours after it's suppose to start but it won't start at the correct time. I don't have any other issues with time other than with planned events. Any suggestions? I've restarted my game multiple times, and it's still doing it.

To add, events start when using the phone just not when I create it from the calendar.

  • @Ahnika21 Are you using any mods/cc in your game ?

Do you have this issue for all households in your save or only certain ones ?

If you start a new save for testing purposes, do you have the same issue ?

I can confirm I am also having this issue - I plan an event and everything is normal, I even get the notification 1 hr beforehand that the ‘event is starting soon”, but then the scheduled time comes and goes and no event starts at all.

it’s almost as if nothing was ever planned, despite it definitely being planned (and showing as such in the calendar), as well as having already paid the planning/event fee.

@crinrict I managed to sort out my issue (provided a more detailed response in the thread i started), but thanks for the reply anyway.

@Ahnika21 Whilst this wasn’t relevant to me, it may help you with your issue:

In trying to fix my own game, i found out via reddit that the current version of TOOL by Tmex does have a bug which breaks the event planning feature, so try removing that (and deleting thumb/avatar caches) and see if it’s fixed.

If that doesn’t work then the way I fixed my game was to just start a new save, as i think my issue was hard baked into the save itself.

  • @Ahnika21 Just to follow up, this is a known issue with TOOL Mod at the moment. If you use that mod, you can remove it (and delete the localthumbcache file) for gameplay. Nothing in the world you used it for with change. If you aren't using that, please test vanilla: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
