Exterior Walls turn invisible
i just encountered the issue in build mode that the exterior walls on one side of the building turn invisible unless the walls are fully up. on the first floor, the exterior walls show up all around, it is just the second and third floor that are affected. the other walls show up no problem. i have been building for some hours now, and only added curtains to the walls above the window when the wall on the second floor just turned invisible. even though i did not touch the third floor in this session, the same wall disappeared as well. the rooms are still regocnized as such though.
i tried saving and moving the building to a different lot, extending and putting the rooms back, putting up new walls, removing the curtains, removing the walls completely. nothing worked so far. i am not sure what else i can do.
has anyone else seen this happen?
Is that some sort of balcony on the second floor that has a fence or short half wall around it? If it is, that's what is causing the walls to drop. The game sees the fence as the exterior wall install of the actual wall of the house. What happens if you delete a section of the fence/short wall? My guess is that the house wall comes back. So, if you want the house wall to be up in that setting, then leave a section open and hide it with a planter or something. I have that happening in several builds and it's just the way the game works.
