Family Members Don't Recognize Each Other

Hi all,

I am a newbie at this forum and I don't know if you have already discussed this issue here. I really don't know how to search this issue so please excuse me if it is a silly and long one 🙂

I am playing Sims 4 on PS4 and I create a family with 3 children. When they grow up, the oldest one has married (because his mother wants to have grandchildren because of "Big Happy Family" aspiration) and moved out to another house. I built a new house for newlyweds and saved this game as another game to progress. The problem starts now because I noticed that the oldest Sim doesn't recognize his youngest sister as she is not in his world. In the younger sister's world, his brother is also missing.

I've saved my household and home to the gallery and make them live in the same world but now even they know each other, they don't know themselves as brothers and sisters. They are just friends.

Their mother also didn't have a chance to meet her grandchildren and aspiration has failed.

Please let me know if it is a common issue or a mistake made by me. I really wanna know my mistake and fix it.

    @izsaral Yes. Each time you go to manage world's in your current save and load a different household, that's still the same save. The picture on the save shows the last played family almost always.

    @izsaral If you simply move a family to another lot in the same game, the family relationships are preserved.

    Sims only retain their family relationships in their current save. If you start a new save, the family relationships are lost.

    If you save your family to the library and place them in a new save, any family member outside of the saved library family will be erased.

    If you place the library family directly into a house by using the "Move family from Library" the relationships are also preserved, but only for that family.

    If you add a family from your library into a family in the CAS (Create a Sim) you must reassign family ties.

    If you need a better explanation, please let me know.

    I supposed that i can only play 1 game in 1 save because there is a picture of only 1 family in my saved game. Now I understand that I can save multiple families in the same saved game right?

    This happened to me today and I was RAGING PISSED! Because I find that I spend more time in these forums fixing bugs and oversight issues in my game then actually gaming. 

    The way to fix relationships is sadly through cheat...testing cheats true then cas.fulleditmode

    Edit relationships and if you have an issue like me where the older sims relationship cannot be edited, you'll have to age them down.

    For example I had a son and daughter young adults who recognized their mother only as Member Of Household. Their relationship couldn't be edited. So I aged them down to Teen and the option to put her as their mother appeared. 

    But overall this sucks.. one shouldn't be spending so much time fixing * in game!

    To be honest I'm dissapointed that I blew $100 on it. If they gonna have so many issues in the game the price should be much lower down to $10-$15 USD not $40!
