First floor becomes invisible from second floor

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.88.213.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cottage living, discover university, island living, seasons, cats and dogs, get to work, dream home decorator, realm of magic, vampires, spa day, vintage glamour, perfect patio
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Make a regular house that’s on a platform maybe one thing up and then place some stairs.
What happens when the bug occurs? The stairs and everything on the first floor completely disappears when viewing the second floor. They are still there and are usable but they are invisible.
What do you expect to see? The rest of the house should be visible.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I’m sorry, I’ve looked for other questions that were already answered but none of them were exactly relevant to my case or no one answered the question on how to fix it clearly.

I have a regular house, that’s all on a platform because there’s a deck outside.

The thing is, the second floor has a huge open area where you can look down into the first so floor. Except for the fact that I can’t see anything at all when I look down into the first floor. Not even the stairs. I can still click on stuff and move them, but I just can’t see it and it’s very distasteful and annoying.

Its not an apartment either.

Sorry about the outside pictures. I’m on my phone.

I have one picture of the upstairs looking down and one downstairs.

That issue may be because you built the house on a platform rather than a foundation.  Platforms aren't really intended to act like a foundation so, all kinds of odd things can happen when you do it that way.  The best way to do it and get the fewest problems, I've found, is to build the house on a foundation using the room tool, raise it, then put any platforms in, then adjust the foundation height to whatever height you want and go from there, adding stairs, doors, windows, etc.  For your patio, you could use a separate platform for that if you want.  Platforms will work just fine against a foundation so you can have it a different height than the foundation.

    Hope this helps.

  • Thank you so much!!  I’ve been searching around foreverr for an answer and this is the most clear one I’ve seen that fully answers my question!

I’ll try what you said^^ Thank you again!
