Flashing screen after alt-tabbing

I play the Sims 4 on a Macbook Air using a MacOS Ventura ver. 13.5.8, the most recently-released version. I also play using the T.O.O.L. mod and the Better Build-Buy mod, both my TwistedMexi, and the 'Choose Your Classmates' mod by Rex & the Sims.

I have noticed for more than a month now that whenever I alt-tab, once I go back to the game there's a brief black flicker. Some assets are deloaded and replaced with a black void, for just a split-second before everything is normal once more. I resigned myself to just deal with this bug, until I tried to recreate a character in the Sims. Due to the nature of this work, I had to alt-tab quite a lot, and as each time the screen flickered black, it actually gave me minor eyestrain and made me incredibly nauseous.

Is anyone else having this issue? If it is an issue with the game itself, it's quite shameful that a bug that could harm those with epilepsy has stayed in for over a month now. Is there a way to solve this issue?

Does this happen in a completely clean game? This means a whole new Sims 4 folder with default in-game graphics options, no previous saves and no Mods/CC. Please move your Sims 4 folder to the desktop, or rename it, to force a new one to be created when you launch the game and properly test this.
