For rent - part of the game not working

Hi

My friend bought me the new game pack 'For Rent', but I don't know where they got it. Everything in the game seems to work fine except for one issue. I am having trouble assigning a room to a rental unit. When I try to do so, there is a blank space and nothing seems to work. I have tried everything but the problem persists. To help you understand better, I have attached a screenshot.

    @christineux This issue has two common causes. One is that Sims already live on the lot: Move them out (using Manage Worlds), have any property owner sell the lot, then try again. The other issue is incompatible mods; see Broken/Updated Mods .

    @luthienrising I appreciate your help. It seems that the lot doesn't have any owners, so I'll try removing my mods. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that before! I'll let you know if it works.
