@LonelyFew There's a post in the Bug Reports forum about freerealestate not working for the new pack units, but you should be able to do a "money" cheat to increase funds before moving in.
For the can't-access-furnished issue, are you playing without mods? And is this the case only in the new unit type, including on builds that came with the pack?
@luthienrising The money cheat before moving in works, but when a sim is living in the unit and I try moving someone else in from the combine households, the new sim can’t join them. It says I can’t afford a furnished unit.
Okay. Since this happens without mods, I think you can head to Bug Reports with this. It may be related to some other bugs that have been replicated.
One of those bugs is a household combining bug, and if you have this, there's a workaround posted at https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Merging-households-through-dialog-doesn-t-proceed-Not-in-world/td-p/13278599/jump-to/first-unread-message.
