For rent: Lease Never Ends for Tenants

Hey everyone,

So I'm having the usual issue of tenants not paying rent and I can't evict them for it because isn't recognizing that the rent hasn't been paid. 

However I am also having the issue that leases seem to be auto-renewing, I have only had the grace period once where I could make changes and change the rent price. Other wise the lease ticks down, then when there's on day left it just restarts. This is frustrating because I can't upgrade my units without forcing the bb.enablefreebuild cheat and then manually deducting the funds from my sim. 

I am not playing with any mods or cc. My game is up to date and I have repaired it. 

Any ideas would be appreciated.
