For Rent not working after download for months!

Bugs aside, and ignoring your current user data, please move the Sims 4 folder to the desktop from the Documents > Electronic Arts. Launch Origin, repair your game, then launch the game. Start a new save and play for a while. DO NOT move any of the files and folders from the Sims 4 folder you moved to the desktop into the newly created Sims 4 folder.
Are the issues you are trying to describe in your opening post still there?
