Freelance writer cannot send book for approval

Hi everyone,

Since yesterday (and I've just thought about it, the new sims delivery with that new haircut), my freelance writer sim has been unable to send his books to client for approval. He has no problem writing the book and chatting with the client, but clicking the "send to client for approval" option on the book, whether in his inventory or placed on a counter/table, is basically equivalent to doing the reset sim cheat. The task only appears when it is queued after another interaction (like "analyze book" for example), but as soon as the task becomes the one he's about to do, he resets and it's impossible to get him to send his book. 

My sim is level 10 in writing and the books he writes all have the "excellent!" quality, plus I never get any notification telling me it's been sent and rejected, and on the computer there is no option to edit the work in the freelance section.

I've tried removing mods, but that didn't work, so I tried launching the game without any mods either, and the issue is still there.

Does anyone have any idea of what could be causing this issue, or does anyone also have this issue?

    Was the book in the exact genre the client requested? And when you tested without mods, did you remove the whole Mods folder and delete the localthumbcache file?

    The book was indeed the exact genre the client requested, and the whole mods folder is empty (but the folder called "mods" is still there), since I switched to curseforge. I also relaunched the game after going in settings and not authorising mods and script files, just to make sure. Do I have to test it by deleting all of the mods on curseforge as well? I didn't delete the localthumbcache file before, but I've just tried and it didn't change a thing. This time I tried it when my sim was sleeping in bed with his wife, and she resetted too, but I'm not sure if that's because of proximity or them using the same object.

    Thanks for testing! Did you have mods up until the book was finished?

    I did, but I've just tried having him write a book to complete a gig after removing all mods and the localthumbnail cache etc... and it still didn't work 😞

    Thanks! Sounds like this is a case for a report in the Bug Reports part of this forum, unfortunately. Include all the things you've tried: AHQ Bugs
