game crashing

everything was fine for the past two months up till today when my game crashed and i don't know why i never had this problem before and now all of a sudden its crashing and i was really wanting to play and when i was trying to change my sims clothes when i tried to click the color selection it had these weird color things on the screen and i hope its because of an game update because before the game update everything was fine and normal until i updated is this just happening to me?(ill try and upload the photo of the color error thing soon)
