Game failed to load

While playing the University EP, whenever I try to make my sim attend the organization events, it takes me back to manage worlds and gives me a pop-up that says "The game failed to load. Error Code: 102:20ece5dd:c8dbfb88. It is recommended that you relaunch the game."

It doesn't give me the pop-up when I'm traveling in different worlds, only when I want to attend the event. 

I did the 50/50 method with my mods and it didn't work. I have not tried it with custom content yet because I have more than 10,000 in my folder and that is too time-consuming. I also tried disabling the mods/cc in the game options, but it didn't seem to work either, it still keeps giving me the pop-up.

Is there any way I can fix this? Repairing the game didn't work either. If it is a cc issue, is there an easier/more efficient way to find the broken one?

    @wooyeoo Please try this completely mod-free vanilla test, please. It might cover more possible issues than your previous ones:

    1. Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop.
    2. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.
    3. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up.
    4. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem in your regular save
