'Game Loading In progress'

I've tried restarting, repairing, reinstalling with just EA instead of Steam - cant download origin so cant try that, some mods, all mods, different DLCS and I still cant get sims 4 to be able to save or enter build mode, my computer runs it well, so I meet the requirements but I go to save, 'game loading in progress', i try to buy things ' game loading in progress' -_- Anyone else having this issue or know whats up?

    @KawaiiGrem  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know whether the problem is still present.

    All sorted - turns out it was 1 mod I hadn't gotten rid of still lurking around

    @puzzlezaddict I tried this, but it did not work for me. What else could I try? I never had any mods or cc. Also tried repairing the game.

    @smilisa  Does your computer run Windows or macOS?  In what context do you see this error, for example CAS or live mode?  And what are you trying to do that you can't because of the error?
