Game not working right after update

Am I the only one who is having this problem?  After downloading the new update, my game loads and I can play in live mode, but when I hit build or switch worlds, the screen goes black.  Also, the buttons on the top right do not work.  I can not save, hit lessons, etc.

    @Nancywitt and @Lily_Himiko_Toga  Please test without mods or custom content, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package.  Let me know what problems, if any, are still present.

    This update broke a large number of mods.

    im not having excatly the same problem but i cant  enter build buy or save my game after i updated it just tells me the game is still loading

    I deleted all my mods from my files.  I don't really need them anyway.  And what do you know?  The game works now.  I'll miss some of the CC, but just happy the game now works.  Thank you for your sugestion!

    I can't do build or buy mode and alot of my icons are out of place or  just showing a light bulb

    @Lily_Himiko_Toga 

    Click a mirror or dresser to give them some clothes. When the CC you use is updated you can choose to use that again.
