I have updated two Macs to Sonoma, one Intel and one silicon and both run the game normally. As have others.
Sonoma was publicly released the same day as the game patch. There is always an increase in game breakage on patch day which is usually attributed to CC/Mod compatibility, sometimes a corrupted update. A clean game folder should be tested for the former, a clean game installation for the latter.
If you really think the OS update is responsible for breaking your game, please post the specs of your Mac from About This Mac, but not the serial number, in a new thread in the Mac forum together with every troubleshooting step you have tried to get your game to work. Maybe there is an issue with a specific Mac configuration, a certain graphics chip for example, but QA can only assess when given more information.
