No. this is a different issue. i didn’t remove any mods or CC because this just happened after i updated the game to the recent update now it won’t even load the new families i made.
@Dreeaa97 After the game updates is exactly when mods and CC can stop being compatible with the game because the code they rely on has changed. Start at the Broken/Updated Mods lists.

so if i go thru the mod list and all that and update some mods this issue will resolve itself? Which im still not understanding how that factors into nun of my families loading and my game going back to the map every single time?

@Dreeaa97 Outdated mods can stop households from loading. Not all household-loading problems are caused by mods, but many are, and a first step is to update mods. NOTE: Not all mods are listed on this site, for various reasons. You might still need to test your other mods or find out if their creator has updated them.

Read Crin's "How to use Mods/CC" guide which is pinned at the top of this very forum https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/FAQ-How-to-use-Mods-CC-on-PC/td-p/8781409 It explains how to properly use Mods and understanding how they can break your game. Reading the Best Practice section should help you understand why your game is not working properly. - 2 years ago
I know this is the Same topic because I couldn't find my old thread, but my game is still acting the same. won't load any of my families still taking me back to the map. After updating and deleting mods and repairing the game even uninstalled and reinstalled, My game still will not load any of my families. Is there any other way it's the game? I don't not wanna have to start over again.

@Dreeaa97 Have you tested without mods/CC at all? Try dragging the whole Mods folder to the desktop, delete localthumbcache, then see if things load.

Goodmorning, i finally got my families to load but now nun of my mods wont work even after updating and deleting and reinstalling. Also i move around a lot of folders and nothing changed. Would this mean I’ll have to start over? I don’t remember what else i did last time to fix it. I could really use some help!

@Dreeaa97 Let's refresh your Mods folder and get things back into it systematically:
- Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and delete the localthumbcache file. Make a copy of your Saves folder there too in case you forget to not save while checking the mods.
- Start the game so it makes a new Mods folder. Then exit.
- From the old Mods folder, copy just some mods back in. Make sure script mods are no more than one folder deep and that you also copy over any mods they depend on (like a core or injector mod). This is a good time to check for updates, too.
- Restart the game, and check that the game is seeing your mods and working. You might need to check your Options.
- Exit and do another batch.
- When you run into a problem batch, remove some of that batch to try to find the problem mod in it.
