I have had this happen a few times and sometimes I can find it and sometimes I can't. I do play with mods but I don't think that is the issue. My sim met the delivery guy and he turned away from her and then the groceries went up in the air to the corner of my property. I've searched high and low for 2 real time hours. I've move furniture, walls, the roof (its a intricate roof with lots of pieces) checked all shelves and places something might be able to be set down. NOTHING! And I've tried ordering again a few times. It keeps happening though. I'm so frustrated. I'm trying to finish out all the gardening items and some of the ones I ordered were the last few I needed. Any help would be so appreciated or better yet Fix this seriously annoying issue.
