Halloween Holiday Keep Repeating Everyday
I do have some mods and I already tried to repair the game and move the mods but the holiday keep repeating everyday. It doesn't even appear the event board. The kids and teens keep coming for trick or treat. I also check the calender, it doesn't mark the halloween holiday in it. Whenever the day ended, my sims will be sad because the 'holiday' was awful. How do I stop this halloween to keep repeating everyday? My mods work fine and this is my first time using mods, so I'm kinda clueless about mods bugs. I play using Steam btw.
Okay, here's what to do:
- Do a "vanilla" test to find out if mods are your cause, because they might not be working fine. Instructions are here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mods-CC-Issues/INFO-How-to-Use-Mods-and-CC/m-p/13439356#TestVanilla Don't skip the part about deleting localthumbcache!
- If you still have the issue even without mods in your regular save, check if you have the issue without mods in a new save by selecting "New" on the main menu.
- If you don't have the issue on a new save, go back into that regular save (still no mods!) and select "Save As". Sometimes doing a "Save As" clears remaining mod effects out. Your Sims and their houses will lose their CC, custom careers, etc.
- If removing mods fixed the issue, you can start at Broken/Updated Mods & CC (this is the patch 1.112 list) to see if you can find an easy fix by updating your mods, removing old ones etc. And you can use the 50-50 test method to narrow problems down.
- If you still had the problem without mods on a new save, run a file check through Steam.
