@yoikami yep!! I'm still having this issue and it's seriously torture by this point. I have done EVERYTHING. I moved my entire folder onto the desktop which is what I've read is the best way, and guess what, couldn't even be bothered putting the saves back one by one so I just let the folder regenerate, deleted the old one and started from SCRATCH. Deleted ALL cc and mods, literally had nothing in the folder at all. Works fine, and then the MOMENT I put a script mod in!! And start it up again, gets me to pick a season again, it's glitched and I have $0 funds.. won't let me play. I can only create a new family and then can't even play after that. It's driving me mental at this point. I can't find a solution anywhere and I have LITERALLY TRIED EVERYTHING!!!
