    I had the same issue, so I tried removing mods and CC but that didn't fix it. Apparently, the game was labelling flour, sugar and other ingredients as debug. Repairing my game did the trick 🙂

but i dont want to delete my old sims, if I do this, wouldn't it start everything over?

@lesbiun Starting "New" doesn't delete anything. There's a "load" option on the main menu for picking between different saves. I have many!

    @luthienrising okay i went to a new game, and I bought the ingredients and the flour and sugar are showing up, this is without any mods. When I had my mods on my old game, the ingredients still did not show up. what should I do

      @lesbiun Most likely you have a cooking mod that's either outdated (check for updates) or is not compatible with the Simple Living feature (check the mod patch for known issues).

        @luthienrisingmy mods are all updated, i have the mod manager. What do you mean by mod patch? I have the brazenlotus mods that have their own flour version and salt and sugar I think, but these should also be compatible with simple living. I really don't know what else to do
