Height bug (possibly)

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? most current (latest patch update)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except for baatu and the latest two kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Height sliders do not work. Try creating new sim in CAS.
What happens when the bug occurs? All sims have nigh-Amazonian Height.
What do you expect to see? Height sliders to work.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The latest patch released just last week.

Have no screen shots but i think i've described it pretty clearly. Try to create a new sim, height slider A doesn't work. Height slider B doesn't work. Prior to November patch, all height sliders worked. My newly created sims also have Amazonian height. Kind-of a bit off here, Sims Team.

  • Did some checking around myself and this is why I had "possibly" in parentheses. It was actually a conflict with one slider in bundle. I've gone and deleted that particular slider and no problem. Could a community manager please close this off? Cheers.

Lesson learnt - check everything before opening your (virtual) mouth. lol.

    Hi,there

The height slider is a feature that is not in the basic game.
Have you checked the vanilla game to see if there are any problems with the CAS operation?
If there is no problem in the vanilla game, then it is a problem with the relevant mod, so please check the website of the relevant mod to see if there have been any updates to the mod, etc. If there is no update and the problem is still there, please contact the creator.

  • @taffster74 I'm using Godjul's height slider from Mod The Sims and it still seems to be compatible with the latest game patch. Well, mostly compatible anyway. It doesn't seem to work with Werewolves. A lot of slider mods were broken by the June '22 patch, so if you are using anything that was made prior to that, there's a good chance it's broken too. CmarNYC made a utility for fixing broken sliders, so that might be something you'd be interested in researching. It can also be found at Mod The Sims. I had to use it on several of my CC sliders & now they are working fine again. I did not have to use it on the Godjul height slider though.

Hopefully one or more of the various height slider mods out there will make in on the CurseForge mod hub when it launches.
