Help! Why does my Sim's stove keep catching on fire?
So I think my sim's stove is cursed.
I've replaced the stove over 10 times now. I always buy them the nicest stove you can buy without using a career reward and I've made sure there is a fire alarm directly above the stove. And yet, my sims set fire to the stove crazy often.
The first day they moved into this house they set it on fire 3 times. All in the same day.
It's been about 1 sim year since they moved in. Today, they set the stove on fire, I had my sim shower while another member of the household started dinner over for them. The stove immediately caught on fire again. I feel like there have been way too many fires for it to just be coincidence.
Both of the sims who do the cooking in this household have level 10 cooking, and there's not a rug in front of the stove or anything. I don't have any lot challenges on at the moment either. What would cause the stove to catch fire this often??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
This post is from a year ago, before wants and fears were a thing. I haven't played that save in over a year, which was also the last time I updated my game. In my original post I listed my stove is the best one you can get and my sims all have level 10 cooking. There is no rug placed in front of the stove and there is a fire alarm right above it. I think it was probably just a glitch with that save, which I started playing back when the game first came out. Older saves tend to have odd glitches like that.
This new glitch people are experiencing does seem like it probably has to do with the fear of fire thing (maybe EA needs to tune it?)
But my issue is old at this point and will probably just remain a quirk of that specific save.
