Help!!

@BexHoward I'm not sure what you mean in regards to "used MOO to get a table to cover the whole room and position it where I’d like it", but depending on your goals, if you enlarge or shrink a table that the Sim can normally interact with the sim will no longer be able to interact with the table. Also, if you move a firepit with MOO to place it on a table the Sim will not be able to interact with the firepit. As far as I know in order to get a Sim to light/use a firepit it needs to be placed directly on the ground. It's possible that certain modifications will still allow interaction with the firepit, but that would require testing to determine, depending on your goals. 

I had no issue raising the firepit wit MOO active and using the '9' key, but it's possible that your MOO just got snagged up... that occasionally happens. I've also had other tools things stop working (like the ability to enlarge or shrink the paintbrush diameter). If this happens, you can save your changes and exit to worldview then re-enter the lot. You would then need to reactivate the MOO cheat. If this doesn't fix it you could try the same but leave to the main menu &/or exit the game, or even travel with your Sim to a new lot then come back to see if the issue/tool becomes unstuck/unfrozen.

Can you clarify the goals you have for this build with my interpretation in mind, plus include a screenshot?
