@DarrianW98 When you test in a new folder, you're by definition testing without mods. If you have households loading in that fresh folder, you can start re-adding your mods from the old folder you removed into the new Mods folder the game has created, and testing as you go. This is a good time to check for known Broken/Updated Mods and rechecking installation instructions.
Just for more clarity on my end, when I moved the sims 4 file to the desktop it kept the mod folder filled with mods I already have, should I be removing those and essentially redownloading them? I’m at work now but I’ll try whatever you suggest later.
@DarrianW98 Here'a a useful workflow for dealing with that:
- Check the "Broken" lists in Broken/Updated Mods and outright delete those mods.
- Check the "Updated" lists in Broken/Updated Mods , delete those mods from your old folder, and download fresh copies. Check installation instructions - a lot of modders have beens switching dependencies lately.
- Check the "Cleared" list in Broken/Updated Mods . You can move those mods from your old folder to the new one.
- Get TwistedMexi's ModGuard v1.5 from his website and add that to the new folder, following the instructions.
- Now you're left in the old folder with mods that my list is silent on. If any are 18+ mods or creators you haven't noticed listed by me, check the creators' websites for updates. Add the rest back in in batches, testing between batches to make sure you don't have obvious problems. If you have to remove a mod from your new folder, delete localthumbcache.
