Horse Customization Issues

@Superninjew Hi there. In Create A Sim click on the horse there are 6 options 1 breeds, 2 Body, 3 Hair, 4 Coat and color, 5 outfits, 6 Paint mode to add extra markings and colors. Then there are 4 more options at the side of that. 1 saddles 2 blankets, 3 bridals and 4 accessories.

I don't use the support facial hair, LOL did once and the guy didn't like it. Guess he thought my character was making fun of it. LOL

There is equestrian boots. There is also an old fashion equestrian out fit use the full outfit in Create a Sim to find it. The Hat is in brimmed hats for the old fashioned equestrian hat.

Before I forget, I don't have any mods or custom content installed.
I didn't specify but I meant I can't change the horses mane/tail after the horse has already been created. You can change saddle, bridle, and saddle pad, but you can't change the mane or tail post-CAS. And if you use the cheat "cas.fulleditmode on" or whatever it is, the names of the entire family will change to the head of the household's name and you can't change it back.

There are equestrian paddock boots with halfchaps on them, but no true english tall show boots. I've worked with horses as a professional for the better part of my years now so I'm just picky about details and I would 110% support any stuff packs for horses haha. And I totally skimmed over the full body outfit, it's closer to what I was hoping for!

I'm also a real horse person and am using mods to get correct show outfits, although they just ride in them and not show.  Even though it still needs some bugs worked out, I LOVE this pack and am hoping they add packs/kits too.

I have never had the problem with the names from using the Cas.fulleditmode cheat So odd.

Yes there are no proper out fits or boots and only boots for women and not men. There are the breeches for the guys in full outfits but no boots. I'm sure nothing good enough. If you want your game to reflect real life. Sorry ♥

@wildwingsuz Yeah sims 3 was a rabbit hole for shows too so I was expecting that in this pack, but I'm a bit bummed they don't at least ride into the building together! But riding in the proper gear while training is a must XD

Gotta really hand it to the mods for already having so much content out. I wish I was savvy enough to do those things but I'm appreciate of those that do!

I'm excited for this pack, I really hope they add more to it though. Literally just a bunch of new jumps that can be arranged in various courses is all I need. That's it, I'll be the happiest lil sims camper. Fingers crossed haha

But as it is right now I am enjoying it a lot!

@ReneHollyDesign1  I have lots of issues with cas.fulleditmode cheat unfortunately, so I usually avoid it anyway, now even more so xD

Oh well, at this point it doesn't really matter. Sims 3 is buggy as heck, so Sims 4 does much better in comparison there, especially considering how much game there is

I'll just wait for mods to come through, but I still want to hold out for the Sims team to come out with a more jumps pack, I miss the water jump and the different oxers and cavalettis, and the fire jumps! Just jumping one jump again and again is the most boring mechanic. The barrels are nice because the horse changes patterns on it, but jumps could absolutely be improved.

Anyway that's not really a problem per se, more a desire so I digress

Thanks again for your input! I'm not sure if I should mark this as solved because I still am having issues with not being able to change the horses mane or tail when changing their tack. If this is a feature, not a bug, then I'll rest my case. But if so, that's not a very good feature. Horses have different hairstyles for each of their outfits too! haha
