Houseguests berating pets

I'm assuming this is intended behavior rather than a bug.

That said, any NPC who shows up at one of my households and starts shaking their finger and shouting at my pet is shown the door. It's not okay. I don't care if my cat is on the counter or dining table, it's not a houseguest's job to discipline my pet. Sometimes they walk over to the cat tree (where the cat is minding their own business) and start shaking their finger and shouting and the cat hisses at them. They live here, NPC, and you don't, so let me introduce you to Mr. Door. 😉

Why do NPCs think this is okay?

(Sometimes, for a laugh, I use Twisted Mexi's AllCheats to enable selectable pets and have the pet send the NPC home. LOL!)
