Do you know what disappeared ? Did you check if it's still available in buy/build mode ? There have been some issues with the patch with certain wall papers disappearing and maybe other stuff but you should get them back with a game repair.
If you saved with the stuff removed, the things will still be gone afterwards so try one of the auto-backups to see if it occurs again after the repair.

Did you also have CAS stuff disappear ?
