Household disappeared after adding CC and Mods to my game

Question

I was trying to add on cc or mods on to my MacBook Air and the household I had disappeared. I’m very new to doing this so ofc I went to YouTube university and tried to do it. In one of the videos it told me to hit Game options then Other and turn on Script Mods Allowed and it needed to restart the game and when I opened sims back up everything was GONE!! 🥲

The only household I had was gone so I had to restart and create a new household&nbsp;

Enabling script Mods would not have removed your saves unless you are using a script mod that affects saves which I believe some do.

There are a ton of extremely unhelpful videos on YouTube/Tik Tok which are created by people who, frankly, are absolutely clueless about how the game files and user data folders actually work and can cause problems that didn't exist in the first place. If you're using specific Mods and having problems the first place to look for help is on the Mod creator's website/Discord/Youtube etc.

Moved your post to the Game and Mod issues forum where there are actual knowledgable people who can help (and don't crave YouTube fame and fortune 🙂 )
