how do I find a replaced file/folder??
Hello! Last night i found a sim download and like it so i wanted it in my game. I downloaded it and the mod folder was named "cc". When i put it in my mods folder, it gave me a warning, something like there was another folder in my mods named "cc" and it asked whether i would like to replace the older cc folder with the new one, or stop it from going in at all. but me being the smarty pants i am, i decided to replace the older cc folder and just not rename one of them. so this basically screwed up my night. i replaced it, opened up TS4 to make a new sim with my new cc and didn't realize the mistake i've just made.
Anyways, I need help finding the older cc folder because when i replaced it, i have not one clue on where it went.
Please keep in mind that i'm not great at dealing with computers and all that, just putting mods into my game.
Thank you!! :DD
I moved your thread to the The Sims 4 board.
Normally Windows will merge two identical named folders, unless files in that folder have the same name, in this case you get the duplicate warning and the replace / don't replace dialogue.
Unfortunately, "Replace" means exactly that, the old files are replaced with the new files. There is no back up created, the old files are just gone.
