I've done that where I could, and in some cases, I didn't see the option (like with his adoptive dad, so maybe they don't count as *not* being just friends, even though the romantic interest icon somehow stayed? I'm not 100% sure - but since they're not blood-related, flirty interactions still seem to be available now that the teen sim is an adult, and I assume that's working as intended?), and they're not actively in romantic relationships with him now (I've tried to keep the romance bar empty), but the romantic interest icon is still there, and once in a while when I'm not paying attention, one of them will flirt with him when I'm taking care of another sim, which raises the romance bar, and I have to drain it out again. It's just kind of creepy. I guess I'm not entirely sure the autonomous flirting won't happen even if they weren't marked as romantic interests, but the status seems to encourage the sims to potentially flirt with each other when left to their own devices, which I'd rather eliminate if I can.
Thanks for any advice! I really appreciate it!
Quick clarification - I went back into the game to make sure I posted the right information earlier, and with the adoptive dad, it's actually that he no longer has the romantic interest icon, but the romance bar (empty) is still there, and flirty interactions are still possible. It's other sims that have the romantic interest icon (and empty bar), but I don't see the "ask to just be friends" option for some of these. I was also hoping to remove these sims from the romance tab under that sim's relationships but don't know if it's doable without a mod.
Thanks again for your help!
