I'm doing somewhat the same in my game with the same mods! I have a table with all TS4 traits which I attributed to TS2 Personality characteristics and I try to select a trait to represent each of it (so I use 5 traits for YA sim). But since in TS2 we had a limited number of points to allocate between traits in TS4 all selected traits can't be on "positive" spectrum as well. So if a sim is a genius he can be hot-headed and slob to balance things out. To me it's an interesting but time-taking approach so sometimes I'm exhausted by it and necessity of tracking and calculating everything.
Ya it is a tedious task, but so much better than the vanilla personalities. I’m currently updating the latest Simsie save with this technique so that way I’ll have a default to turn to and not waste time redoing every sim in every new game I make.
