@bbjerka Are the files zipped? If the files are .zip when you download them, you'll have to extract the files and put the .package and/or .script files in the Mods folder.
they weren't zipped, im pretty sure i did everything i was suppose to do (if the steps r basically still the same as when they were in my docs) i even tried to copy paste them into my mod folder but it still wouldn't work :/

@bbjerka Okay. Please share screen grabs of your folders that include the file path; one grab of your Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder on your computer's hard drive; one of your TS4 folder on your external hard drive; and one of your Mods folder on your external hard drive. They should look something like the below.

@bbjerka Yes. Thank you! It looks like you have created a link and added your mods to the Steam game files folder. The game will only recognize what is in your user folder; Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4. So, I suggest you start over and follow the exact steps in this symbolic link guide created by AHQ Hero crinrict.
