How to download sims mods on EA app

So I have just got my sims back and I've switched from origin to the EA app and I'm in the process of downloading sims but i'm not sure where my mods file is i've searched high and low for it and its...

    @Meggiemooch560  The Mods folder is in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 regardless of how you're launching the game.  You do need to launch it once to create this folder though.

So, I have opened my Electronic arts folder and there is no Sims 4 Folder. There is only an EA app folder. What does that mean and what do I do, and how do I download mods with just an EA app folder? and before you say it, I have opened the EA app folder. There is no Simes 4 folder in there.
