How To Remove A Piece of CC. . .

Normally, I know how to remove cc and mods. But there is one particular piece of cc that for some reason is showing up in my Main save in CAS, but curiously NOT in the Mods folder. How is it possible to rid this beastie from my game? It is totally corrupted inasmuch as the wearer has streaks of black paint on their skin and I believe there is a question mark, too.

I have already removed it from the other save's Mods folder, once I researched the Internet for the name of it. If you come across a really sweet blue I8th century style formal dress for a little girl, named Felicity's Surprise, steer clear it. Once I found the name of it, removing it was as simple as hitting delete.

I have even gone so far as to remove any saves in this folder having to do with my other period-piece save. That didn't help. I am beside myself, since in my Main Save's Mods folder there is no sign of this cc. Not even something unidentifiable. Believe me, that would have been the first item to be deleted.

I do have my mods in their own folders, hahaha, for ease. And I have roamed through every one of them looking for a file that shouldn't be there. I have come up empty.

So, I have flat out run out of ideas, and I must be wording my problem wrong, because I can find no help online. Which is odd.

If you have an idea, I pray you would share it with me. I'm at my wits' end.

Unfortunately, you might have no choice but to do 50-50 testing as it's possible that the item is merged in with another one. Another option, though, might be to use Sims 4 Studio, which should show you all the items visually, even if they're merged.

Thanks for the report on Felicity's Surprise. I've found it and will add it to my test pile. What was the issue for this one?

It causes unsightly black streaking on the Sim wearing it and a question mark. Which is really too bad, it's really a perfect dress for my Period-Save, set in the 18th century. (Perhaps merging with other cc is the surprise?)
I do have Sims 4 Studio, but I really need to learn just how to use it. Thanks. In the past I have emptied my Mods folder, entirely and placed the mods I need, one at a time. Recently, however, I've indulged in clothing cc and a few objects, as well. I came across a mod that would find and fix, but it hasn't been updated . . .

Hi, I'm going to mark you as the solution. I took all of the cc hair; accessories, and clothing and put that into the mods folder. I removed them one at a time, then tested. Felicity's Surprise was still showing up. This testing was done by folders, as that's how I have my Mods folder organized. When I got down to the cc Hair, I opened that file and slowly went through the names of each piece of cc. I'll be darned if I didn't find Felicity's Surprise. package. Happily, not merged with another piece of cc, but how it got out of the Girls dresses file, is beyond me. Phew! It is now out of my game. YAY. Thank you again.

I tested that dress and can confirm it breaks game loading! That's pretty special. Glad you found it in your folder!

Thank you for looking into it. I had hoped it was merely a case of a missing mesh, or something. I really love that dress, too. Oh, well.
