How to Save Custom Content and Mods Locally Instead of OneDrive?

I have installed many CC and mods. These are saved in OneDrive. I don't want that. How can I save them on my computer instead of OneDrive?

I read a thread that said it works to just stop syncing. But how does that work with the existing saved files, and where should I put my new CC and mods that I will download in the future?

  • @Official_MPP  Sims 4 uses whatever Windows has designated as the Documents directory for this user account.  The account will have several Documents folders, but only one will be the directory.  So if you want your mods out of OneDrive, you need to move the directory out of OneDrive as well.  This guide shows how:

Once you've done that, you can move your saves, mods, etc. to the correct location, likely here if you're using the default:

    C:\Users\your username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

This is also where you'll place any mods or cc you download in the future.

Let me know if you need further help.
