HQ mod will not work

I do know that there have been other discussions over the HQ mod but I have been searching for weeks and have failed to find one that even comes close to the issues I've been having. None of them had any answers and they were all dead so I couldn't post on them. Essentially, I've done everything I can possibly due to use the HQ mod and nothing works. My sim continues to stay black with a few highlights on it. I've redone the steps a dozen times by now and I just don't understand where I went wrong. I took out all of my cc, downloaded the necessary game textures, replaced the text in the game files. I just don't understand where the issue is in my game.

    It's my understanding that the HQ mod requires a gaming quality graphics card to run properly. This is what Alf-Si says about your problem:

    4.1. If sim (or part of it) get black textures (example), it means there is incorrect shadow (sometimes - diffuse) map. If you want to find it, you need to change all wearable things by sim to standard stuff from basegame - skin/clothes/tattoos/hair/makeup/etc.

    My graphics card is fine, and everything on my sim and in my game at the moment is basegame. I even took everything off of my sim and it was still the same problem.

    Alf-Si recently deleted their Tumblr but, the Mod is still available through the Wayback Machine:

    Hey everyone i was wondering if anyone has the same problem as me , i downloaded the hq mod switch and it started bugging my game out. When i went into CAS most of my cc hairs have bugged, when i put them on my sims they have white patches everywhere . I then deleted the mod but the glitch is still happening . Can someone help me out.

    It could be that your graphics card cannot handle the mod. To fix your game try delting everything inside your cache folder and deleting the localthumbcache.package file. Then go into My Game Library in Origin and right click on The Sims 4 to repair game.
