I can only create a sim

Question

I can create a sim with no problems and leave exit the game as I please in the menu and in CAS but when I go into a save and start playing I cannot click on anything. The needs won't show up when I click on the icon and same with everything else on the bottom UI. I also cannot leave the game properly, I click the 3 dots in the top right and nothing happens. I have to shut my computer off and turn it back on to get out of the game. Could CAS mods cause this? I only have CAS mods.

@brianmc845 Yes, your mods could cause this. You can confirm that by testing with none of them using this method: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it), delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
