@luat_dianaIt's a pain in the butt but yeah.
Seems the best fix for most issues of late ( even non CC users ) is to move mod folder out along with Tray / saves and then repair ( I mention non CC users in that even they have reported issues with latest patches etc )
Start a new clean game ( just a quick one, you wont need to keep playing it )
Then put your stuff back in. As long as your mods are up to date ( and For Rent and patches caused a lot of chaos on mods ) you should be fine.
I recommend the FAME opt in tick trick for everyone right now. That NPC issue can creep in and out without it. ☹️
